Nutrition is a huge topic to cover, but I will start to address it now! I will endeavour, as I will with all my posts, to provide you with an overview of each topic, with the important points condensed into bits of information that are as concise and as useful as possible.
I will start with this simple piece of advice. For as long as you can (whether it’s your next mouthful, your next meal, tomorrow, or the rest of your life), before eating take 30 seconds to consider the food you’re about to put into your mouth. Consider how you’re going to feel in two hours. Visualise the food travelling round your body, your child’s body, any body. And then consider what effect that’s going to have on your health in ten years’ time.
I bet it’ll change the way you eat!
